Little Big Snake Modes and Controls on Browser and Mobile

Why it suits a quick browser session

Little Big Snake runs in a web browser and on phones, and you can be in a round within a few clicks. That makes it a good pick when you want an .io game you can drop in and out of. It still has more going on between rounds than most snake arenas, so this guide covers what each mode and screen does.

Pick a mode

The "Pick a mode" screen offers three options:

Mode	What the game says it is
Classic mode	Defeat everyone and become the biggest in the snake world.
Team play	Fun team play with other players.
Single mode	Play without competition. Single mode records are kept apart from your normal ones.

Single mode is the gentle way to learn the map and the food types. You can also team up with friends from the Friends screen, but the game asks you to finish the tutorial first. Joining a group needs a VIP account on one side, either yours or your friend's.

Controls on a computer

• The web game is played with the mouse. The in-game hint is "Hold left mouse button to accelerate", and acceleration uses energy.
• After you die, the game offers a "Fly!" button so you can play the round out as a juja.
• Settings include an autopilot. When it is on, click to take control back.

Controls on a phone or tablet

The mobile game has more control schemes than the web one:

• Joystick: smart, left or right joystick, an option to fix its position, a flip option, and "Speed up by joystick". Otherwise you touch with a second finger to accelerate.
• Tap&GO: tap a point and the snake goes there, swipe to draw a path, tap another snake or a bubble to chase it, and tap your own tail to make a loop.
• As a juja: tap the screen to land, or with Tap&GO tap your juja to land or take off.
• A power saving mode helps on older phones.

Between rounds: the Lair

The Lair is your home screen. You return there after a round for gifts and chests. Keys earned from mass in a round fill chests (wooden, iron, golden, ruby and royal), and crowns gathered in the arena open the Royal Chest.

• Evolution: you donate gold to five temples (Insecticide, Metabolism, Magnetism, Providence and Energy). They raise growth from insects, growth from nectar, eating radius, view area and energy recovery.
• Collection: skins come in usual, rare and epic grades, plus Legendary skins. Regalia are small items your snake wears; you need VIP or the Prince title to use them.
• Pets: find and raise pets, then put them in a squad. Each one gives a bonus, such as faster growth, a bigger eating radius or more speed.
• Missions: one daily mission, such as gaining a set amount of mass, eating slugs or bubbles, or surrounding snakes. It can reward a skin of your choice.

Titles and rating

Your ten best results make up your rating, and the rating sets your title. Titles run from Newbie through Seeker, Stalker, Recruit, Noble, Baron, Viscount, Marquis and Duke up to Prince.
